The world's best loved musical, The Sound of Music, is brought to the West End by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

As uplifting as the original film version starring Julie Andrews, the Sound of Music is based on the true story of the Von Trapp family in World War II. Young nun Maria is clearly not suited to religious life and is sent by her convent to be the governess to Captain Von Trapp's seven troublesome children.

Whilst staying with the family, Maria falls in love with the Captain and the children and their father discover the wonders of music and laughter.

The score features some of the most memorable songs ever performed on the musical stage including the title song The Sound of Music, My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss, Climb Ev'ry Mountain, Sixteen Going on Seventeen and The Lonely Goatherd.
