The world premiere of Marguerite, a new musical with music by Michael Legrand and choreography by Arthur Pita, will be the final production in Jonathan Kent's Theatre Royal Haymarket Season.

Set in Paris during the Second World War, Marguerite is based on one of the greatest romantic novels by Alexandre Dumas, La Dame aux Camélias.

The tale follows Marguerite, the beautiful and notorious mistress of a high ranking German officer. When Armand, a young musician half her age, falls obsessively in love with her, their dangerous love story is played out against the background of occupied war torn Paris.

Award-winning actress Ruthie Henshall returns to the West End stage to play the title role.
