Gone with the Wind, Margaret Mitchell's classic novel, is adapted for the stage in a new production directed by the legendary Trevor Nunn and starring Darius Danesh and Jill Paice.
Set in 1860's Atlanta against the backdrop of the Civil War, Gone with the Wind follows the captivating story of teenager Scarlett O'Hara and her turbulent relationship with the unpredictable, yet irresistible, Rhett Butler. As her idyllic existence is threatened, Scarlett embarks on an incredible journey of romantic ecstasy and tragic grief spanning a decade and as the epic tale draws to a close, she discovers that the world she has known has changed forever...
Published in 1936, Gone with the Wind is one of the best selling novels of the 20th century and won Margaret Mitchell the Pulitzer Prize. Three years later in 1939, the film adaptation made box office history as the highest grossing film of all time and is still regarded as one of the greatest American classics.
