Following the success of the fastest-selling tour in history and with a glowing set of reviews under its belt, quirky British comedy Calendar Girls arrives in London's glittering West End.
A group of extraordinary women, members of a very ordinary Yorkshire WI persuade one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference - no more photos of Wharfdale Bridges or Norman churches for them!
Overcoming their initial reservations, the friends drop their dressing gowns, modesty spared only by artfully placed cakes, knitting and flower arrangements.
But as media interest snowballs, the Calendar Girls find themselves exposed in ways they’d never expected, revealing more than they’d ever planned.
Puzzling their husbands, mortifying their children, and riding the wrath of the outraged WI, they achieve their goal of raising money for charity but inadvertently spark a global phenomenon.
Adapted by Tim Firth from his smash hit film and directed by Olivier Award winner Hamish McColl, Calendar Girls is uplifting, poignant and hilarious. The cast includes Julie Goodyear, Kelly Brook, Janie Dee, Arabella Weir, Debbie Chazen, Helen Lederer, Rosalind Knight and Jan Leeming.
