Embittered ogre Shrek is on a mission to secure everlasting solitude in his swampy home after it is invaded by evicted storybook characters. Follow our unlikely hero and his loyal steed Donkey as they set off on a quest to rescue the beautiful but mercurial Princess Fiona from her tower, where she is guarded by a lonely fire breathing dragon.
Add a vertically challenged wannabe King, a gang of fairytale exiles, and a gingerbread man with attitude, and you've got this year's must see musical comedy. The musical has a new score by Jeanine Tesori and includes the cult Shrek anthem, I'm a Believer.
