Based on a 1926 play by Chicago Tribune reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins, Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart, a married chorus girl who kills her unfaithful lover and finds herself in prison where she meets the formidable Velma Kelly, a glamorous Vaudeville singer and double murderess. Throughout the ensuing battle for press supremacy, their slick lawyer, Billy Flynn not only manages to keep the women off death row but uses the trial to propel them to showbiz stardom.

Slick and sassy, Chicago is a dark parable of American justice. With choreography in the style of the legendary Bob Fosse, it is a sexy musical extravaganza fetauring a fantastic jazz score that includes several show-stopping numbers including All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, Razzle Dazzle and Class.
